5 key elements to work successfully as a team
There are various factors to consider when working as a team. Most times it may seem like it is better to work personally but that might just be right but has its own shortcomings.
Below are some elements that need to be considered when working together.
Goal: a well stated goal in an organization is a key factor when doing things together. It helps people understand why they need to put their effort in that particular thing instead of engaging in some other activities.
Self understanding: understanding is something that takes hard time before it comes. If you do not understand yourselves, there is nothing you do together that works well.
Ideas: almost every team member has an idea and should be allowed to contribute to the decision making process. Most times those who are placed at lower positions may have the ideas that those in the top would never think of having.
Elimination of self centeredness: this natural behavior of people having this belief of getting the praise alone kills people who work together. The work was done by all but lead by you. There was a couple who knew had to pray, I guess they were also favored by God to heal and see the future. The husband and the wife both had the gift. Trouble broke out between the husband and wife when they began struggling about whose power is greater than the other. The same issue persisted until they finally separated; no one wanted to be another. They wanted the fame of to go to just one person.
In a team, you both share the glory and you both share the shame of failing.
Encourage those that didn’t do it rightly and correct them appropriately: mistakes are bound to happen, so that corrections could be useful; people shouldn’t just be insulted and rebuked when they fail and didn’t do something rightly. They should be encouraged. You wouldn’t understand how the words spoken to your team member can actually make them motivated to do things. Simple words like ‘I know you can do it’, ‘just keep trying’, and ‘keep it up’ could actually motivate them.
