Pictures of Somto & friends at the newly constructed Anambra State Flyover (Aroma) at Night.
So, I had to go out with a friend and a visitor that came to explore the city of Awka, Anambra State. It was a very great night experience because it was raining and the weather was really cold.
The flyover was very high and both private and public heavy trucks were coming towards us hat night on the highway… Was is scary? YES it absolutely was. Should I also say that it was my first time having that kind of experience.
At first, what is a flyover?
A flyover is an elevated road at a junction. In simple terms, being elevated actually means being at the top of something. A junction in terms of construction is the meeting point of two or more roads meanwhile in geographical terms it can be called a Confluence.
What is the importance of a flyover?
The major importance of a flyover construction is to curb traffic congestion problem. More so, when it rains, it’s not just the roads that are water logged all other streets also get full with water so it’s easy to travel by flyover to get ease of rain water.
The flyover was constructed under the administration of Governor Willie Obiano . And he said that the project was part of the plan to transform Awka into a modern and befitting capital territory such that when the new Awka capital territory master plan is fully implemented, the city would be a reference point in the country and in the world.
