Weapons used by Trade Unions during Trade Disputes
1. Negotiation (collective bargaining with employers): here, the representatives of Union meeting with employer to reach agreement on their demand.
2. Threat of strike: here, an utimatum is given to the employer.
3. Work to rule – deliberately slowing down work.
4. Picket lines – striking workers parading before the entrance to their plant or factory.
5 Strike: this is the ultimate as it involves staying away completely from work.
