What is a population?
Population may be defined as the total number of people (including children, the disabled, beggars and other persons) occupying a given territory or country at a particular period of time. The study of population is as old as the world itself and the of need demography or population studies can never be over emphasized. The sociologists call a collection of people in a particular area a society from where they talk about culture, etc.
The question of population gave rise to population census which is invitable for social, economic and political planning in a country which is through population census.
