Industrial Relations is that area of study that is concerned with the system of job regulation. It can also be defined as the network of rules and regulations governing the workplace.

It focuses on regulation of employment and the regulation of the ways in which people behave in their workplace. There are basically three (3) rules governing the workplace and they are;

1. The Substantive Rules
2. The Disciplinary Rules
3. The Procedural Rules
