What is Population?
Population may be defined as the total number of people (including the beggars and disabled) and other persons occupying a given territory or country at a particular period of time.
When we talk of the total number of people in an area, it is better to find out how many people live or occupy the entire area.
The number of people per square mile or kilometre of an area is known as the density of population of the area – “Population density”.
