Somtochukwu

Here, I want to share a guide on how to use the ATM facility.
Start by locating the nearest Automated Teller Machine(ATM) around your vicinity. Usually, the common commercial banks in Nigeria are Guaranty Trust Bank(GTB), First Bank, Ecobank, Diamond bank, Fidelity Bank, Union Bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Skye Bank, etc.

  •  Insert your ATM CARD. Most times, it is advisable to withdraw from the bank you use because in cases when your Card gets seized by the machine, it will be easier to get it back if it was seized by the bank you use.
  •  The machine will ask for your pin – Input your ATM PIN also known as PASSWORD. It is usually a four digit pin.
  •  The machine will ask for your account type – Choose the Kind of bank account you operate, either Savings, Current or Fixed Deposit.
  • The machine will ask for the action you which to perform -Choose the action you which to perform . Either, Withdrawal, Balance inquiry, Transfer, Airtime recharge, Pin change, etc.
  • The machine will ask if you need a receipt for the transaction – Click “Yes”
  • If you are withdrawing, the machine will ask the amount you wish to withdraw – there is always a default screen displaying ₦1000, ₦5000, ₦10,000, ₦15,000, ₦20,000.
  • But if you wish to withdraw something like ₦13,000, ₦12,000, or ₦17, 000, press “Other” – which is at the bottom right corner of the ATM screen.
  • Note :Maximum withdrawal at a time is 20,000. For a day it is 100,000 which means you can withdraw 20,000 at 5 consecutive times.
  •  Now the Machine processes your Receipt and Money. Collect the both of them.
  • After you through with withdrawing. That is, when the ATM has finish dispensing/paying money to you, the machine will ask if you want to perform another transaction – Click“No”.
  •  The ATM ejects your Card from the machine. Collect it and that’s all. You can now use your money for whatever you intend using it for.
