Dear Nigerians,

We have lived up to this point; it is something to be thankful for. With our increasing population, which has grown with an estimated number of about 150 million additional people from 1960 until 2020, it is time the government devise strategies to cater for each and every individual in the country and to each household.

Being an independent nation means a lot, it refers to our capability of handling ourselves. At 60, one is expected to be an elder and should have some substantial amount of progress to show for it, we must say that as a nation, we have averagely performed; yet, a whole lot more needs to be done, and it needs to be done fast.

It is unacceptable to move at a slow pace in our journey towards sustainable development, hence we need to kick off on our path to being a developed nation where each and every citizen has a direct relationship and benefit from the government and a sense of belonging. Where indigenes of this country hold their shoulders high with a feeling of high-esteem when being addressed by people from advanced countries. Where the life of each and every Nigerian is being accounted for and the government is held responsible for their welfare.

As we grow older each day, let the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria together with its people work earnestly in rebuilding our factories and provide more jobs and infrastructural facilities such as decent houses, good roads, etc for the people.

This is the reward of getting old, this is the advanced Nigeria that we want to see and definitely, together, we will all make it happen – it is the only way forward.
