Efficiency of labour refers to an increase in production as a result of the combination of labour and other factors of production.

It means that labour is at its best and this brings about increase in the total quantity of output without lowering the quality. Efficiency of labour can be measured in terms of the level of total quantity and quality of output derivable from additional input of labour when other factors of production or inputs are held constant.
