Public Expenditure is classifies into two namely;

• Revenue Expenditure
• Capital Expenditure

Revenue Expenditure or Current Expenditure is an Expenditure by the government that is recurring in nature. Eg Payments of salaries to civil servants or workers in Nigeria.

Capital Expenditure are expenditures that are not recurring in nature. They are done one and for all. E.g Building of Multipurpose projects.
