What is Under-Population?
Under-population is that population which is below the optimum population. It is also known as that population that is less than the available resources of a country.
It then means that the size of under-population is so small that when combined with the available resources of a country and given the level of existing technology it will secure minimum returns per head. In such a situation where the resources of the country will not be efficiently utilised as a result of the small size of the population, the standard of living will fall.
