Job Summary

Snapnet Limited a Microsoft Tier 1 Partner is currently seeking a versatile Cloud Solutions Architect. This position shall be dedicated to assisting our client’s Cloud Solutions and Infrastructure as required. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on IT generalist and can thoroughly document 3 or more years of hands-on experience, 100% dedicated to providing production-ready IT solutions using services from leading cloud service providers, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud and based clouds. This candidate should also have experience in configuring and installing orchestration scripts and supporting documentation that deploys stacks of resources in an automated repeatable fashion using orchestration engines or other container technologies.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of OS, databases, cloud applications, and development environments
• Migration of on-premises applications and workloads such as virtual machines and databases to the cloud
• Deployment and configuration of applications and services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, web server, applications security, firewalls, and VPNs
• Propose suggestions and best practices to optimize customers’ cloud presence, performance, security, and cost
• Responds to client’s technical issues in a professional manner and evaluate their cloud solutions and hardware at regular intervals
• Responsible for providing system architecture and design guidelines for business systems and system security
• Explaining technical concepts, procedures to non-technical users using outstanding communications

Technical Requirements (required and desired):

• Must demonstrate an understanding and experience with current Cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Oracle, Google Cloud Platform, IBM SoftLayer, and vCloud Director
• Experience in migration of applications from Physical to Virtual and on-premises to cloud environments
• Responsible for providing architecture and design guidelines for business system and system security
• Exposure to a wide variety of enterprise software, application technologies, and cloud services
• Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, development environment, applications and services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, web server, applications security, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience analysing and implementing access control mechanisms, security methodologies, and understanding of FISMA/FedRAMP security requirements
• Experience with installing and configuring enterprise orchestration scripts that deploy resources in an automated repeatable fashion using DevOps technologies
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and excellent troubleshooting skills

Training and Certifications (required and desired):

• O365, AWS, and Azure Certification preferred (must be able to obtain at least two within 3 months of hire)
• Cloud Certified Professional – Implementing Cloud Infrastructure Solutions – preferred
• Relativity Infrastructure Certification – is a plus
• Experience in migration of applications from Physical to Virtual and on-premises to cloud environments
• Windows Server, Linux, applications, and services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and web server, applications security, firewalls, and VPNs
• Experience in analyzing and implementing access control mechanisms and security methodologies
