Job Summary
A group with interests in Finance, Construction & Facility Management, Entertainment & Agriculture, needs a Financial Controller who would run all aspects of financial management – corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and development of internal control policies and risk mgt.

Job Description/Requirements
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Track and report the financial performance of the company at agreed intervals.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field – required.
- Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) – required.
- Minimum of five years of finance experience – at least 2yrs in a management role.
- Knowledge of International Financial reporting standards and other relevant policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s Accounting software.
