Job Description/Requirements
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Examine the levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortages.
- Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Evaluate new inventory to ensure it’s ready for shipment.
- Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
- Order new supplies to avoid inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
- Design and implement model to track products reorder level, and from the central warehouses to his/her assigned warehouse
- Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers
- Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed.
- Responsible for investigating stock discrepancies, including negatives, unfound, and sold out, and reporting the information to relevant managers including the Stock Accountant.
- Carry out regular stock takes and report on results.
- Ensure the highest operational standards are deployed at all times.
- Monitor KPI’s, identify and communicate associated actions, and highlight areas for improvement
- Basis managerial responsibility such as Return to works, appraisals, absence management
- Joint responsibility for continuous improvement within the warehouse such as GEMBA walks and Kaizen events
Requirements:
- BSc/HND in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering, and other numerate courses.
- A minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in Inventory Management or in a similar role.
- Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
