Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance and repair on all navigation and communication devices.
• Maintenance and installation of marine communication and navigation equipment.
• Repairs and maintains electrical equipment in Radars, Radios and other related equipment.
• Tests defective equipment to determine the cause of malfunction or failure.
• Repair and replace equipment, for all navigation and communication devices, and indicating and recording instruments.
• Test and repair PCB board and electrical system.
• Interpreting wiring diagrams to trace and connect numerous wires/cables carrying current for independent functions.
• Test and maintain transistor equipment.
• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged communication units.
• Inspect communication and navigation electrical power systems to ensure that no faults exist.
• Provide professional assistance to expatriate electricians during all kinds of service-related jobs.
• Ensure availability of parts and supplies by assessing jobs and determining spare parts/assemblies that are  needed for the job 
• Ensure all tools provided in the assigned toolbox is complete and kept clean at all times 
• Observe all health and safety regulations in accordance with NIMASA and the client’s safety policies.
• Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environmental regulation.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with provided  instructions 
• Any other job assigned by your Supervisor

Requirements:

• Minimum of B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering  
• Fresh Graduates
• Not more than 2 years experience
• Most be healthy and physically fit
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• Should have a good memory in remembering little details. 
• Should be a fast learner
• Must have good communication skills
• Should be willing to work odd hours and during holidays (Flexible time)
• should not get easily seasick
• Able to handle isolation and exposure to risk.
• Committed to pursuing continuing education independently
• Should not be scared of Heights.

Salary: NGN100,000- NGN150,000
