The web designer/developer is responsible for the design, layout and coding of a website. They are involved with the technical and graphical aspects of a website – how the site works and how it looks. The web designer/developer will strive to create visually appealing sites for ju-ese.com Ltd that features user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Job Description/Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Back up files from websites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problems.
• Respond to user email inquiries, or set up automated systems to send responses.
• Register websites with search engines to increase website traffic.
• Create web models or prototypes that include a physical, interface, logical, or data models.
• Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Develop or implement procedures for ongoing website revision.
• Develop databases that support web applications and websites.
• Develop and document style guidelines for website content.
• Evaluate or recommend server hardware or software.
• Document test plans, testing procedures, or test results.
• Develop system interaction or sequence diagrams.
• Perform or direct website updates.
• Write, design, or edit web page content, or direct others producing content.
• Perform website tests according to planned schedules, or after any website or product revisions.
• Incorporate technical considerations into website design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy.
• Develop website maps, application models, image templates, or page templates that meet project goals, user needs, or industry standards.
• Identify or maintain links to and from other websites and check links to ensure proper functioning.
• Provide clear, detailed descriptions of website specifications such as product features, activities, software, communication protocols, programming languages, and operating systems software and hardware.
• Monitor security system performance logs to identify problems and notify security specialists when problems occur.
• Research, document, rate, or select alternatives for Web architecture or technologies.
• Document technical factors such as server load, bandwidth, database performance, and browser and device types.
• Install and configure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) servers and associated operating systems.

Requirements:

Knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API’s, Content Management System (CMS); Spreadsheet; MS Windows; Internet; Servers; File management software; Programming software; HTML editing software; Programming languages; Database; Software development; Mapping and data visualization software; Website creation and management software; MS Office;

Travel:

• Limited travel to other Ju-ese.com Ltd offices may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Limited travel to customers’ sites for logistic support.

Physical Demands:

• Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in the operation of office equipment.
• Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
• Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
• Body motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move from one office location to another.
