Zimbabwean socialite and businessman, Genuis ‘Ginimni’ Kadungure dies in fatal Rolls Royce crash
Zimbabwe woke up to the sad news that one of its most prominent socialites and businessmen, Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure died following a freaky accident that took place in the early hours of Sunday November 8 along the Borrowdale Road in the capital.
Ginimbi was reportedly speeding down Borrowdale Road when he got involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming Honda Fit.
He was thrown out of his Rolls Royce Rave after the high-speed crash before the super vehicle burst into flames which engulfed the other passengers.
Ginimbi died alongside 3 passengers who were identified as Mimi Mona popular fitness bunny and socialite, Alicia Adams who is a model and brand strategist and Karim Cazal.
Ginimbi died hours after sharing a video of himself in his Rolls Royce on Instagram (photos shared include the Rolls Royce which was badly burnt after the crash)
Genius Kadungure was killed in a fiery high-speed car crash early on Sunday.
In his final post on Instagram, where he had over 600,000 followers, Kadungure posted a video, declaring: “Guys it’s time to go out, it’s gonna be going down. We’re going to Dreams (nightclub) in the next few minutes, it’s gonna be going down. It’s Moana’s birthday, we’re going to pop champagne, it’s gonna be champagne showers tonight, see you there.”
As he gets into the vehicle, Kadungure tells his followers he’s “driving Rolls Royce Wraith.” The video cuts out as ‘Hello’ by Kabza de Small and DJ Mapholisa blasts from the US$500,000 motor. He was 36.
