Idris Adepoju: Salawa Abeni Remembers Her First Son 20 Years After Death
Waka musician Salawa Abeni has remembered her first son Idris Adepoju, 20 years after his death, Igbere TV reports.
“Hmmm!! Today the 2nd of October makes it 20yrs that you left me. My first son Idris Olanrewaju Adefolajuwon Akanji Adepoju,” she wrote on Instagram on Friday.
The 59-year-old ‘Beware Medley’ singer added: “It still feels like yesterday but it is 20 years already. Your death caused a lot of pains in my life.”
Salawa prayed that parents will not lose their children like she lost Idris who would have been 37 years old.
The singer was decorated queen of Waka music by the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi in 1992.
