Jama’atu Nasril Islam’s ‘History Of Jos’ Lecture Sparks Outrage On Social Media
There is an outrage currently ongoing in Jos, the Plateau State Capital over a lecture organized by Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), an umbrella group for the Nigerian Muslim community.
The Zoom lecture, themed ‘The History Of Jos and Environment, Pre, During and Post Colonial Era’, gathered a lot of criticism online after it’s fliers leaked on social media after the total exclusion of the over 40 ethnic groups in the state. This raised eyebrows and suspicion and gathered a lot of attention in Jos with many asking why no plateau indigene was invited or included amongst the speakers.
