The founding fathers of Ebonyi State, on Saturday, settled the war of words raging between the Governor Of Ebonyi State, David Nweze Umahi and Senators Anyim Pius Anyim and Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu, Igbere TV reports.
Contrary to earlier reports that the meeting was organised by Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN, IGBERE TV gathered that the meeting organised by the founding founders of Ebonyi State was well attended by Governor Umahi, Senators Ayim and Egwu, His Lordship Most Reverend Michael N Okoro and Rev. Fr. Abraham Nwali.
In a communique issued at the end of the meeting signed by former Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Elechi, the leaders agreed that there should be no further war of words among them both in the print, electronic and social media and at other places.
According to the communique, they have equally agreed to work for peace and security in the state and enjoined their supporters to cease fire and to do or say nothing that will engender the peace process initiated by the founding fathers.
