Job Summary

We are looking for a competent Commission Sales Agent to promote our merchandise business in its physical, virtual and online channels. Items of retail are equipment, furniture, fittings and general supplies to the hotel, catering and laundry sectors of the Nigerian economy.

• Minimum Qualification: HND
• Experience Level: Mid level
• Experience Length: 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell products in order to grow sales and profitability.
• Develop strategies to gain market share, and close as many sales as possible.
• Provide effective customer service and develop advanced product knowledge.
• Make sure pricing is correct.
• Work on store displays.
• Identify market trends that appeal to customers.
• Ensure products are clean and are in attractive packaging.
• Utilize computers to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
• Monitor local competitors.
• Ensure that hours of operation are complied with.
• Maintain health and safety measures and the store’s cleanliness.
• Handle customer complaints, issues, and questions.
• Comply with all internal policies and procedures of the company.
• Write a report of sales activity periodically as may be required by the company.

General Requirements – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – for the Position of Commission Sales Agent:

• Self-motivated and outgoing personality.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written, oral, and verbal communication skills.
• Must have PC skills, including the ability to use database marketing and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to drive.
• Bi-lingual skill is an advantage.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

• A good first degree.
• At least two years of cognate experience.
