Job Summary

The candidate will troubleshoot IP network problems quickly and help provide sound engineering solutions by maintaining a deep knowledge of IP network and GPON Network architecture, topology, and up-to-date configuration details and must also ensure the stability of in-house voice, data, video, and networks.

Job Description/Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist clients to operate equipment correctly. 
• Working with both Point to Point and Multipoint devices, studying them to pick up on any potential network issues. 
• Proffer solutions to maintain the organization’s network with the best possible system requirements. 
•  Collaborating with other members of the company to help to develop a faster and more secure network.
• Ability to drill both hammer and concrete and micro duct pipe and saw EMT. 
• Installation of attachments and connectors as per local building codes and NEC. 
• Familiarity with routers, Switches, Climbing masts, Installation tools
• They should be able to perform site surveys, which they are likely to be trained also on.
• They should be able to perform antenna pointing and speed tests at the base station and customer sites. 
• They should be comfortable with climbing heights and installations on masts and tall buildings.
• They should be familiar with routers, switches, radios, and antennas such as CISCO, MIKROTIK, UBIQUITI, and CAMBIUM.
• L2 and L3 MPLS experience. 
• Routing protocol troubleshooting experience BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP. 
• IP multicast experience. 
• Troubleshooting and resolving WAN/LAN connectivity issues. 
• Monitoring of network elements and ensuring prompt repair and restoration of all faulty/down sites/links. 
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls. 
• Performing routine checks and maintenance on all network elements. 
• Providing network solutions. 
• Managing bandwidth of the IP backbone for optimal performance. 
• Network administration and maintenance. 

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering 
• Varying degrees of experience are required from 2 – 3 years. 
• Proven capacity in designing and implementing complex, high. performance networks with multiple locations and applications, preferably service provider networks. 
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco, Mikrotik Router boards (routing, switching, hotspot).
• Preferably CCNA and CCNP certifications. 
• Good knowledge of networking technologies – TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, proxy etc.

Salary: NGN150,000 – NGN200,000
