“Being On A Wizkid Record Is More Important To Me Than Having A Record With Drake” – Skepta

British Rapper, Skepta, has revealed that collaborating with Nigerian superstar Wizkid was more essential to him than working with Canadian rapper Drake.

Big Smoke, as he is affectionately known, just released the 5-track hip-hop project ‘All in,’ which features Nigerian singer alte Teezee, American singer and producer Kid Kudi, and Colombian singer J.Balvin.

During an event celebrating the EP’s release, Skepta claimed that working with Wizkid on a song was more significant to him than working with Drake.

“Me and Drake’s first meeting musically was on a Wizkid record. That was more important to me than asking Drake to jump on a song of mine.”

Recall how Skepta was instrumental in influencing Drake to remix Wizkid’s blockbuster tune “Ojuelegba” in 2016, a move that solidified Wizkid’s introduction to the western world.

According to Skepta, he has always known Wizkid is a superstar, which is why he has always supported him.
