Messi Re-elected Barcelona Captain
Leo Messi will continue as the captain of Barcelona after being voted as such by his teammates.
Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto have been elected the other three skippers of the team.
Messi will wear the armband at some point during Saturday’s friendly against Gimnastic de Tarragona.
Ronald Koeman called the Argentine in the morning where he informed him that he would feature in the game.
Messi is still short of fitness having joined pre-season training later than most of his teammates, so his cameo isn’t expected to be long.
