Mohbad’s New Song, “Feel Good” – Hit Or Miss?

Nobody knew Mohbad two years ago. But look at what he’s become now.

He’s not just one of the new crop artists with huge promise in the industry, he is also a certified hitmaker. Not a lot of people in the music industry have songs that are as big as “KPK.”

The point is, Mohbad‘s life changed in 2020. He went from underrated rapper to one of the Next Rated contenders, within a year.

The rapper is proof that with hard work and consistency, there’s no limit to what you can achieve in the music industry. Even if you are ‘local.’

Currently signed to Naira Marley‘s record label, Mohbad released his debut body of work, “Light” last year.

It was indeed the perfect introductory project for an artist like Mohbad. The EP had guest appearances from big guys like Davido and Lil Kesh. It remains one of the top EP’s released in 2020.

Mohbad switched his sound from the street-hop and rap he’s known for. Then, he headed the amapiano way with Rexxie. That was late last year.

That switch was what birthed the “Ko Por Ke” hit and now Mohbad is pushing his art in that direction. This might be good for the “Ponmo Sweet” rapper.

Versatility is very important in the music industry, and it is what got artists like Olamide this far. Mohbad is now flexing his versatility, doing new sounds and showing us that he’s not stuck with that street rap thing. He’s not just a street rapper; he’s an artist.

Feel Good

A testament to his improved artistry is his new single, “Feel Good.” On the new feel-good jam, Mohbad talks about his exploits and how he’s taken off and never coming down. It has a raw amapiano vibe and the synths are relaxing. It is the kind of song you’ll want to play over and over.

The song is different from “Ko Por Ke” when it comes to the sound (“KPK” is uptempo), but in the effect it can have on the listeners, there is no difference at all.

This is definitely a banger. Mohbad needs to continue his amapiano journey on a new project because what he’s doing is out of this world.
