PSG And Istanbul Basaksehir Match Suspended Over Alleged Racism By 4th Official

The Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and descended into chaos on Tuesday night after both sets of players walked off amid allegations of racism by the fourth official, Sebastian Coltescu.

The match was suspended midway through the first half. 

According to reports Pierre Webo, Basaksehir’s assistant manager, was sent off and then accused the fourth official of racism.

The official reportedly said ‘n****’ when trying to identify Webo to the referee so he could show him a card. 

Footage from the incident shows former Chelsea and Newcastle striker Demba Ba leading the Turkish side’s protests before they left the pitch. 

Within minutes of the incident, Basaksehir’s Twitter feed posted a picture of UEFA’s ‘No To Racism’ campaign.
