Yahaya Bello Doesn’t Deserve NCWS Gender-sensitive Award — Natasha Akpoti

A former governorship candidate in Kogi State Natasha Akpoti has opposed the conferment of the most gender-sensitive governor in Nigeria award by the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) on Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Igbere TV reports.

According to Ms Akpoti, the award does not take into cognizance the governor’s alleged violent actions against her and others.

“National Council for Women Societies @ncws_abuja should bury their heads in shame,” she tweeted on Sunday.

“Honouring Kogi’s Gov. Yahaya Bello as ‘Most Gender Sensitive Gov in Nigeria’ is an insult to d violence he unleashed to me, the dead @OfficialPDPNig woman leader & a host of others. Evil monster.”

The award presentation and decoration ceremony held on Saturday at the Glass House of Kogi State Government House, Lokoja.

Bello was also decorated as a ‘HE 4 SHE’ of Nigerian women which makes him a goodwill ambassador.
